We were in Costco recently where there was a display of knife blocks and that got us to thinking about giving one of these versatile and practical sets as a gift this holiday season.

Several months ago while shopping in Target we found ourselves in the linens aisle. Samples of all the products were available to feel, and we were surprised by how luxuriously soft the organic sheets felt. The bamboo sheets were also soft but ever so slightly less so. The price was right, so on impulse we picked up a king set of the "white" (it actually looked more "natural").

What a treat to sleep on! Even after multiple washings, the sheets have a wonderful feel to them and if anything are softer than the day we purchased them.

And they're eco-friendly. The 250-thread count sheets are made in India from certified organic, pesticide-free cotton. It's a generic brand (in fact, it's basically a no brand), but come with no plastic wrapping, packed instead in a cotton pouch of the same color and material as the sheets themselves, accompanied by a recycled cardboard sleeve with vegetable inks providing, admittedly, precious little more information about them.
